Green-A-Neighbour

Highgate+Muswell Hill, September-November 2015

Between 12 September and 1 November 2015, 10  energy efficient, comfortable homes in or near Highgate and Muswell Hill were open, mostly by personal invitation to neighbours and friends to ‘come and see’.

The range of properties opened is quite broad, and they are mostly in conservation areas. All have had some kind of energy upgrading that retains and respects the properties’ original features and heritage but with substantial improvements in comfort, and reduced energy consumption. Being able to see what immediate neighbours, often in very similar houses, have done is always interesting – and it provides a good way for neighbours to meet and mingle as well.

Green-A-Neighbour was organised by the Highgate Society Sustainable Homes Group and the Muswell Hill Sustainability Group. Find out more by clicking here
